section 5
Wow, forget about section 3 being my favorite. this was incredible. so much action and devastation, its almost sickening. It made me sad when they left one of the groups behind, but then i read on about the fight that the put up to get out, and all i could do was like think that these men fought all odds and ended up coming out okay so i was releaved. Not as bad as book as i thought once i finished it. Good book!!
section 4
ALMOST DONE! when i was reading this section i thought wow i only have one more section and then i am done with this antagonizing book. I believe that it was very well written as in description many things also went a little to far into detail but it overall ranking this comes in 2nd for favorite section, right after section 3 with all the fighting.

section 3
By far the coolest section!! In this section you can see how they are awesome fighters and how they wont give up no matter what. There is so much blood in this section it is awesome. bullets flying everywhere and that is what truly makes a good war book/movie. These soldiers were train to do one thing, go in and kill all enemies no matter what the cost. So far they are very good at doing this.

I think that section 2 was much more interesting than the first. It flowed through the info faster, and also was a very cool and descriptive section. I will not lie it is a intensely hard ready, but once you get into it you find that you are learning from what you have read previously. This will help us become better readers, in both speed and comprehension.

Section 1
In section one i though it was going to be a very hard book to read. There was just so many characters and things going on at once that it would over ride your brain. the begining was kind of flat, then the raids happened. The author dragged the raids into so much detail that i became bored of them in a matter of minutes. This story is one of the more interesting to choose from, but there is something about it that is different. This one is real. People actually experienced the events happening in the book, not that drugs are bad in Go Ask Allice, or murder in To Kill A Mockingbird, but this is war, you cant prevent what happens to you in war, it is totally up to luck and faith.

chapter 19 -21
I knew that he was going to end up in New York because everyone knows were and that it is the biggest city. I just didn't think it was going to be like really cold. I think they should have at least warned him about the weather and gotten him a jacket or something. I like the fact that things are actually happening for him and not against him. Like how he gets a new family and starts to think of his uncle as a father figure too him. It made me feel happy when it talks about how Ishmaels uncle was crying because he is happy to have Ishmael. But when he goes back to his hoometown i knew that the war was going to pull him right back in with how he talked about how he heard gunshots in the air, and how it brought back memories. Ishmael is strong and i think that he will be able to fight the urge and go back to New York and start a new life. Which he did.

ch- 17-18
In these chapters i think it was very cool. they were action chapters like in movies. The part about the walking for 3 days i couldn't do that. Then they had to fight that would be so hard to do. They were saying how they could just ignore bullet wounds, how it is a bullet wound it is supposed to hurt. Just stop you cant just forget about wounds like that. I would not be able to keep fight ing how these boys did they can just get shot a couple times and are strong enough to just "walk it off" they are like super warriors.
ch.15-16
I think that in chapters 15 and 16 that they were really well written. It was not a gross chapter but it was kind of more enlightened. The fact on how he could possibly be leaving the army is a great thing to hear. He has to get out sometime he is here with us today, and we are seeing him speak so you know he has to get out of the army some how. The fight was pretty interesting, it just shows how close they are to each other. They can go on anything violent and they need drugs so they beat up people so they can have some violence in there life. Very well written chapter.
Choice Book Reading
I really don't care what the book is. I just want the book to be excting and interesting and that's all i ask.

Chapters 13-14
Wow, these last two chapters were crazy gross. I thought about the part with the river and the human parts and stuff would defiantly make me lose my lunch, like its good i didn't eat before reading that because it gave me a graphic picture, with much stomach flippage. And the whole thing with the RPG blowing the guy up was gross. When I read about his friend that was killed i tried to think about that would be like for me too be in his shoes, i just couldn't do it. I would have just given up, actually i wouldn't even have been there because i would have given up along time before that. When people say that they can do what these boks describe, they really don' know what they are talking about, because im pretty sure no one could watch one of their closest friends die and treat it like it was nothing nd move on because if they do that then the were truly not even your friend. No one ralizes how strong these kids are physically and even more, emotioinally.

Chapters 11-12
In chapters 11 and 12 i thought that it was very, very disturbing. The whole thing about the soldiers and how they were happy about how they killed everyone in the whole village this time no survivors i almost lost it. The fact that they were only doing that because they don't have a straight mind to think clearly is beside the point. When they said commander i thought wow if these guys are this ruthless think about the one who is leading them! As we kept talking about that conversation, i was just thinking about how they were feeling hearing this, in real life as Ishmael did. It would devastate me to hear about hundreds of people being slaughtered. And what was with the bananas, then that guy asking them to carry some for him, what is that i would have been carry your own bananas you want them so bad you carry them! all in all this was a pretty awkward feeling chapter.

chapter 10
I didn't really understand this chapter as much. There are many questions i have concerning the contents of this chapter. Like how did Saidui died, what happened. I just don't get it, like did he pass out and not come back, was he murdered by rebels, or did he die because of the bird he ate, like who would eat a bird that just drops out of the air. I think that he was the first to be killed by Ishmael but i don't want to make assumptions but i don't really know, and i hope that we can come to a consensus about it.

chapters 8-9
If i were stuck in a forest by my self like the boys were i would probably lose it, no actually i would defiantly lose it, or die. I would be exhausted and defiantly die from hunger, i would go mad trying to hunt for food even though i think that it would be a blast to have this as a challenge i still thin that i would get lonely and when i talk about the blast adventure, i mean the alone in a jungle except in my life there will be no rebels trying to kill me, at least i hope. I could never put up with this war, it would tear me to shreds i could never kill some one, or think about seeing someone do that action. The whole waves and the they can hurt me crap was just stupid like it is water i would go swimming after walking all that way i would be so tired and they were like burning the bottoms of their feet off because of the sand and that is just stupid if it hurts don't do it. And the fruit was defiantly a peach in chapter 8, because what else could it be?

chapters 6&7
in my opinion chapters 6 and 7 were different. I think that they were not dealing with death and also that they weren't around people being shot and always fearing that they coulfd be abducted. I think they were more relaxed chapters in the book that i have read so far, because all of the other chapters are dealing with how the are seeing death and distruction everywhere, and the story about how their village was burnt to the ground and everyone around them treats them as enemies because, they can either be one of the two enemy, or spy. Which i truly don't understand because why can't there be another option, maybe like refugee or how their village got burnt downh and they were seeking shelter from neighboring villages. The boys are not speaking much because they are kind of drifting apart and how they all think that they are going through something different than the other one but truly they're going through the same thing just in different forms and once they got to that understanding then things i think would have been very different.p

chnologically found info
they came and told everyone to convert to the Christian beliefs because of how it would give them a better and easier life. Then after that they told them about how the don't kill twins and everyone is the same person and how we are all related and have strong connections between each other. Like some people would like (ex. Nwoye). The Osu really liked it because it made them feel like were actually respected and that they could do what everyone else could do also, no restrictions. The mothers liked it also because of how they no longer had to kill the twins if they so happened to have them. Dr. Brown was a good man. He understood their beliefs and how it would be almost impossible for some to jst change like that. so he understood that they were actually close in religious views with the Christian church mainly the only difference was polytheism to monotheism but that is not that big because they are not really polytheistic but the believe in lesser gods that are the mesangers for the almighty god Chukwu, and they say that is just like the consept of their priests, and how that is not normal that they wont just come in open arms, and then he gets sick and all HE!! brakes loose with Rv. Smith.

Virtues Of Okonkwo
In the book Things Fall Apart, Okonkwo does not acknowledge his female virtues, because the way he sees women, he sees them as maids. They are not really respected as individuals in Umuofia and so he is not used to it in Mbanta. He thinks that they are not truly bonded by love but by a ceremony.

Adam's opinions of okonkwo that only matters
I in my opinion is not shabby. He is very strong and a good leader. When he was young he was a great wrestler and he even was able to defeat the cat, the most feared wrestler. Too bad he is the reason that he had to sacrifice a goat to the gods for breaking the week of peace, in which no one should harm or kill another person. He was consulted be the priests. The reason that he did the beating to ruin the week of peace was not a bad reason. He was just being protective of his 3rd wife's children. He only did also because of how he did not get his third course of his dinner and he got very angry that would have not been acceptable. She went and did a selfish task instead of tend to him which made his mad. When he was planting the yams in the field thought ithat he was going to accomplish his task but then the drought came and then he planted again and then the rain came but then finally he say a spouting and he was filled with joy that it worked so he was glad that the sacrifice supposedly work, so i think that he is a smart, strong and determined and resettles man

P.S and V.P.S
I think that P.S is a very smart young man, and i am right then he will do something about the cheating. I only think that he will do something because of how he was feeling very guilty and that he did not think that he deserved that he should have gotten the grade that he did because he did not get it on his own and that he was really trying to not let his father down but i think that if his father learns that he cheated that he will be more upset than he would be if he learned he couldn't do it in the first place. If he was a smart young man he would have talk to his father and not have cheated because then not only can he fail Latin but also he could have trouble staying in school and could get expelled from his school. Another big reason is that P.S really wanted to go to California with Charlie this summer but he wouldn't be able to he knew he would not be able to pass the Latin exam. So another reason that he thought it was an alright strategy to cheat. P.S just was in a hole and he kept burying himself deeper and deeper. and the only thing he was guilty for was not cheating his dad or cheating Charlie. It was cheating himself.

When I read this poem it really brought up bad memories, about my friends and my childhood. I used to have this really good friend that would always tell me we were best friends and we are always going to be best friends. But once I got to know him he ended up as one of the worst friends I had in middle school. He would always be talking to the girl that I liked and telling her that I was a horrible and saying bad thing about her and telling her I hated her and other deceitful things. As I learned what he was saying because the girl he was saying this too just happened to end up being my girlfriend told me everything. As time went on I would no longer sit with him talk to him or even be around him period. The worst was when he dropped to the lowest of the lows and started talking behind my back about me making rumors and I went up to him and confronted him and we have not been the same around him ever again and probably wont because I don’t think that I can forgive him just yet. If I tried to talk to him about this he would say he was a stupid kid and he didn’t know what he was saying or doing but I know that is just a cover up. I am going to forgive him but yes it will be hard.

hawkeye post
I think that the university of Iowa made a great decision by watching the students and making sure that they don't do anything wrong. I think that it was a great idea because you always have to watch them because kids do stupid stuff.
